There are many sectors which are crying out for people just like you with thousands of vacancies across Essex. Although some sectors have been hit by COVID-19 it is predicted these sectors will still have strong numbers of vacancies in the next few years.

Construction

Construction is booming in South Essex with many new developments planned for the area in the next few years. An additional 12,000 to 24,000 employees are needed in Essex over the next five years. With trade, office-based and professional roles, there is something for everyone.

Health and social care

The NHS and social care workers have been national heroes in the last few months and seeing the difference they make may have inspired you to join them. This is a great sector to get into and jobs are expected to grow by 34% by 2035 in Essex alone. Did you know there are over 350 job roles within the NHS?

Ever wondered about how your parcel gets from A to B? The logistics sector is a growing and exciting place to be. One in 12 UK employees work in logistics and Essex is home to some major brands with big logistical operations including the Port of Tilbury, Amazon and London Southend Airport.

Digital & creative 

Did you know that Basildon, Southend and Thurrock are hubs of creative and digital industries? Creative industries employment is predicted to increase by 5.3% over the next six years, double that of the average rate of employment, which will rise by 2.5%.

Always dreamed of getting into teaching? Did you know that in Essex last year there were over 7,000 teaching vacancies? There are many different routes into teaching including apprenticeships.
